Work part-time on Capitol Hill caring for pediatric oncology patients with a predictable alternating M/W/F and M/T schedule. Pediatric Oncology RN, part-time, Capitol Hill MOB; alternating week schedule (Week1: M,W,F; Week2: M,T); ongoing/permanent role; provides assessments and chemo administration in Kaiser Permanente oncology clinic. - Current RN license (MD, VA, DC) or compact RN within 6 months of hire - ≥1 year pediatric oncology experience with chemotherapy administration - BLS (AHA) at hire - Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification within 12 months

Job Summary:

To provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing treatment in Kaiser Permanente clinical oncology departments.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs comprehensive patient assessment prior to appointments with providers and appointments for chemotherapy to identify essential information for that visit. Provides ongoing assessment as appropriate during the course of the patients visit.

Week 1:M,W,F; Week 2:M,T

Basic Qualifications:

Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of current Pediatric Oncology experience including chemotherapy administration.
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
License, Certification, Registration

  • This job requires credentials from multiple states. Credentials from the primary work state are required at hire. Additional Credentials from the secondary work state(s) are required post hire.

  • Registered Nurse License (Maryland) within 6 months of hire AND Registered Nurse License (Virginia) within 6 months of hire

OR

  • Compact License: Registered Nurse within 6 months of hire

  • Registered Nurse License (District of Columbia) within 6 months of hire

  • Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification within 12 months of hire

  • Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association
