Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with at least two years of recent specialty experience and an active KY or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting
- Shift is 7:00am to 7:30pm with on-call required
- Work involves providing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures
- Patient population consists primarily of adult cardiac patients
- RNs are responsible for direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac cath lab procedures
- On-call coverage is required and will be assigned as part of regular scheduling
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are required per hospital guidelines
- Holiday coverage may be required as determined by the unit
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab RN experience required
- Current certifications required: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS, active and not expiring during contract start month
- NIHSS certification required prior to start
- CPI training required, may be completed onsite
- Flu and COVID vaccination required with documentation
- Gaps in work history of 3 months or more must be explained
- Candidates must have a valid US Social Security Number; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- No local travelers—must live more than 50 miles from the facility
