Position Overview:

Schedule:
- Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM
- Call Requirements: Shared daytime call from 9 AM to 5 PM, approximately every third day
- Weekend Call: No weekend or evening call
Responsibilities:
- Round on inpatient psychiatric units (both adult and adolescent units)
- Handle hospital and ER consults as needed during regular business hours
- Participate in call coverage every third day for hospital consults
- Manage a patient load of 5-12 per day

Treatment Areas:
- Required Treatment Disorders: Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders
- Therapeutic Modalities: Family Therapy, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion Therapy, and more
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be Board Certified in Psychiatry (BE not accepted)
- Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up is preferred
- Familiarity with inpatient psychiatric care, including hospital consults and ER consults
- Telehealth is not an option for this role
- State License: Must have or be eligible for Iowa licensure
