American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and current ARRT or RCIS certification for a high-volume adult and geriatric IR/Cardiology lab.
Responsibilities- Work in a combined Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Vascular, and Electrophysiology lab with approximately 80% IR procedures
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Typical diagnoses include PPM and ICD device implants
- Procedures include diagnostic and interventional radiology, as well as cardiology and cath lab interventions
- Equipment used includes GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Angio Jet, EKOS, Inari, IABP, Impella, and advanced ultrasound
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts (07:30 - 16:00), 5 days per week
- Call required: two weekday calls per week for two weeks each month and one weekend call per month, with a 30-minute callback for STEMIs
- Every third weekend is a scheduled work weekend
- No floating requirement
- Assist providers during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Medication administration is performed by RN only
- Start on the unit on Mondays prior to Dimensions training
- Unit orientation consists of 40-80 hours
- Scrubs are provided
- Urgent and emergent procedures are common; callback times vary by procedure
- No RTO after booking and no holiday time off is allowed
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- No first-time traveler requirement
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- ARRT or RCIS certification required (license required if applicable)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Ability to scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab procedures, as well as telemetry skills
- Preferred: experience with EKG lead placement, ARRT advanced certification, RCES, or RCIS with medical experience
