Neurologist Locum Opportunity Northern Michigan January 2026 Start

Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to provide locum tenens coverage in Northern Michigan, beginning January 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive clinical team in a hospital-based setting with a consistent patient load and manageable schedule.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: January 2026
• Schedule:
• Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (on-site)
• Outpatient Clinic: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 1:00 PM 3:00 PM (within 8-hour day)
• Call: After-hours call required
• EEG: Inpatient and outpatient reads as needed
• Average Patient Volume: 6 8 per day
• EMR: Cerner

Required Procedures:

• Radiologic Exam Interpretation
• Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap)
• EEG
• Brain Death Examination
• Evoked Potentials

Submission Requirements:

(All must be included and clearly notated at time of name clear)

• Board Certified in Neurology(Required BE not accepted)
• Active Michigan Medical License(Required at time of submission)
• Active DEA Registration(Required)
• BLS and ACLS Certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale and tPA competency Preferred
• Clean malpractice history
• Include carrier, coverage limits, and confirm malpractice is included in rate
