Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (4x12s available upon request)
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 with adult neurological patients
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Charge experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with 1:5 patient ratio
• Floating required to units within clinical skillset
• Care for patients with neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, neuro-specific diagnoses, and medical overflow
• Manage 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
• Skills include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care
• Medication administration, cardiac drips (no titration)
• Respiratory support including nasal cannula, O2 administration, non-invasive airway management
• Rapid Response and Code team participation
• Isolation precautions protocol adherence
• 48 hours of orientation provided
