Emergency Medicine Physician
An Emergency Medicine Physician is needed to support a full-time coverage need in a critical access hospital setting. The role includes in-house emergency coverage with low patient volume and inpatient responsibilities.

Schedule & Coverage:

• Minimum of 3 shifts per pay period

• Primary shift length: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM); occasional 12-hour shifts

• In-house call with sleep room available

• Multiple open shifts available from February through March

Practice Setting:

• Critical Access Hospital

• 3-bed Emergency Department and 20 inpatient beds

• Average ED volume: approximately 4 patients per day

• Average inpatient census: approximately 4 patients (observation, acute, and swing bed)

• Inpatient responsibilities included

• EMR: Epic (TogetherCare)

Staffing & Support:

• 4 Advanced Practice Providers (no supervision required)

• Nursing support: 2 RNs

• Ancillary staff: 1 CNA per provider

• Medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services available

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Emergency department coverage

• Inpatient care management

• No outreach responsibilities

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or Family/Internal Medicine with recent emergency medicine experience

• Active state medical license

• Clean malpractice and background history

• Current NPDB report required for submission
