Full description
Prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a BE or BC Nephrologist to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice on Long Island, NY. The practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.
We are located throughout the New Jersey and New York Metro area with many locations on Long Island.
Principle responsibilities
Diagnose patients using the correct equipment in determining and evaluating the extent and nature of kidney disorders or injuries. Perform dialysis or surgery on damaged kidneys and prescribe post-surgical maintenance medication. Administer anti-rejection treatment to counteract infections or preclude rejection in kidney transplants. Refer patients suspected of the tumorous kidney to relevant oncologists. Keep abreast of new developments in kidney surgical techniques and medication. The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible and have excellent clinical training. Physicians who are currently in fellowship training are encouraged to apply.
