The Interventional Radiology Physician will provide specialized minimally invasive image-guided treatments such as angioplasty, embolization, biopsies, and ablations at a VA hospital. The role involves on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays, with a full-time weekday schedule. Required qualifications include medical licensure, board certification, and relevant certifications like BLS, ACLS, and DEA.
- Work Dates Needed: 2/1/2026 - 1/31/2027 plus 4 option years
- Preferred Schedule: Full-time; Mon - Fri; 8am to 4:30pm. On-Call during weekend, holiday, evening & night hours from 4:30pm 0 8am on weekdays, and full weekend coverage from 4:30pm Friday through 8am Monday. Call-back hours are estimated. The hourly rate changes from on-call to call-back only upon arrival at the VA to perform onsite services.
- Worksite Setting: VA Hospital
- Scope of Work: Angiography, Balloon angioplasty/stent placement. Chemoembolization. Cholecystostomy. Drian insertions. Embolization. Thrombolysis. Biopsy. Radiofrequency ablation. IVC filters. Line insertion. Cryoblation. Vertebroplasty. Nephrostomy placement TIPS placement. Biliary intervention, etc.
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Prior VA experience preferred, but not required. Any state medical license. Board Certified. BLS & ACLS (AHA preferred). DEA Certificate.
