Travel RN Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg), Ortho

• Unit: 36-bed Med/Surg/Ortho
• Contract Length: 20 weeks
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; holidays as scheduled
• Float: To ED/ICU for medical holds only
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $2040

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending or temporary licenses)
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Confident, independent, and adaptable RN
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Applicants must reside outside a 40-mile radius of Marion, IL

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a 36-bed Med/Surg/Ortho unit
• Manage a patient ratio of 6:1
• Float to Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for medical holds as needed
• Demonstrate adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
