This Locum Tenens position seeks a Wound Care Physician to provide advanced wound management and treatment in an outpatient clinic near Blue Creek, Ohio from December 2025 to March 2026. Responsibilities include assessing various wound types, supervising hyperbaric oxygen therapy, applying advanced treatment techniques, and educating patients on wound care and prevention. Candidates must hold an active Ohio medical license and BLS certification, with ACLS preferred for therapy supervision.
On Hold - Reviewing Submitted Candidates ON HOLD - 12.04.2025 Physician Needed for Outpatient Wound Care Clinic in Ohio We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Physician for a full-time Locum Tenens assignment in an Outpatient Clinic setting, located approximately one hour from Blue Creek, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive wound management and treatment from late December 2025 through March 2026. Start/End Dates: December 22, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM. Patient Load: Manage an average volume of 15 30 patients per day. EMR System: Epic. Job Responsibilities and Treatment Focus The physician will provide expertise in advanced wound management, including both hands-on treatment and patient education. Core Duties: Assess and manage a variety of acute, surgical, traumatic, and non-healing wounds. Implement preventative care measures to reduce skin breakdown and ulcer formation. Supervise hyperbaric oxygen treatments (HBOT) and apply topical therapies. Educate patients and support persons on proper wound care techniques and ulcer prevention. Treatment Methods Used: Advanced Techniques: Bioengineered skin application, debridement, negative pressure-assisted wound closure (NPWT), and skin grafting. Vascular/Compressive Care: Unna boot and total contact casting (TCC). Post-surgical incision management and treatment for conditions like gangrene, radiation injuries, and burns. Submission Requirements Current Active OH Medical License is required. BLS certification is required. ACLS certification is preferred, especially for supervision of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Credentialing Note This position has potential for temporary privileging to expedite the start date.
