Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring a KY or compact RN license and strong telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Telemetry/Medical-Surgical (MS/TELE) unit, 2 North, in a hospital setting
• Care for medical-surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6 or 1:7, subject to census changes
• Day shift from 07:00 to 19:30
• 36/48 hour rotating weekly schedule
• Floating required during low census
• Responsible for caring for short stay and observation patients in addition to standard MS/TELE patients
• Holiday policy applies to all requested time off
• Bi-weekly orientation provided
• Travel pairs are not allowed except in rare circumstances

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent MS/TELE nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
