Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend coverage required
• 13-week contract length with ASAP start date
• 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Float requirements as needed
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 2-bed ICU unit
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Preferred certification: CCRN
• Skills required: Conscious sedation, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Must be competent in arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, and vasoactive drip titration
• Experience with blood product administration, procedural sedation, and emergency medications
• Dress code: Wine and/or burgundy scrubs (not provided by facility)
• Electronic medical record system: CPSI
• WV or Compact nursing license required
• Must live greater than 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required with medical exemptions only

This healthcare facility features a small but comprehensive intensive care unit with 2 beds and maintains low patient census averaging 0.2 patients per day. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
