Full-Time Ongoing Coverage | 7p–7a | No Procedures | Paragon EMR
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide night shift hospitalist coverage at a respected community hospital in Livingston, Texas. This ongoing locum assignment offers consistent scheduling, a supportive clinical team, and the opportunity to manage a steady inpatient census in a modern, well-equipped facility.
Assignment Highlights
- Location: Livingston, Texas
- Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine | 66-Bed Acute Care Facility
- ICU: 10-Bed Open ICU
- Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
- Schedule: 7p–7a | Full-Time or Part-Time Availability Considered
- EMR: Paragon
- Coverage Model:
- Day: 1 MD
- Night: 1 APP (Independent Coverage)
- Average Census: 10–12 patients overnight
- Average Admits: 4 per night
- Supervision: Collaborates with supervising physician; Hospitalist available for oversight
- Rapid Response: APP participates in Rapid Response Team
- Procedures: None required
Clinical Scope & Responsibilities- Admit, manage, and cross-cover inpatients across all units, including ICU
- Respond to Rapid Response and Code Blue activations in coordination with the ED
- Communicate effectively with nursing and specialty teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Utilize Tiger Text for internal communication and collaboration
- Perform thorough documentation within Paragon EMR
Candidate Requirements- Licensure: Active & unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner License
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS (all required)
- Experience: 1+ year of inpatient or hospitalist APP experience preferred
- Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
