We are seeking a highly skilled Physician specializing in Pediatric Urology Surgery for a locum tenens position in Texas. This exciting opportunity offers a 56-day coverage period starting 08/25/2025, with potential for ongoing assignments beginning January 2026. The ideal candidate will work in both clinical and surgical settings, managing outpatient clinic cases, inpatient rounding, and performing surgeries. The schedule includes 24-hour coverage Monday through Friday, with weeknight and weekend call. This role requires expertise in pediatric urology, comfort with both clinic and OR procedures, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment. Job Details: Location: Texas Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 08/25/2025 LOA: 56 days (with potential for ongoing assignments) Provider Type Needed: Physician - Pediatric Urology Surgeon Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm + Night/Weekend Call Responsibilities and Duties: Provide comprehensive pediatric urology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings Conduct outpatient clinic consultations and follow-ups (3 days per week) Perform surgical procedures in the operating room (2 days per week, typically Tuesday and Wednesday, some Fridays) Manage inpatient rounding and post-operative care Participate in weeknight and weekend on-call rotations Utilize Cerner electronic health record system Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely medical records Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures Additional Information: Texas medical license required Familiarity with Cerner EHR system preferred Opportunity for assignment extension beyond the initial 56-day period Potential for ongoing assignments (2 weeks/month) starting January 2026 Apply now to learn more!
