Our job summary

The ER Tech I provides basic and direct patient care in the emergency department, assisting with therapeutic treatments and patient education under physician orders. This role requires certifications such as EMT-B, CNA, or similar, along with current Basic Life Support and soon Advanced Cardio Life Support certification. The position supports a faith-based health system focused on compassionate, quality care across multiple hospitals and clinics with specialized medical services.

Job Description :

Job Purpose:

The ER Technician I is responsible for all basic patient care duties and assists with direct patient care to provide support services to the patients, families, and other Emergency Services staff. This includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operation of laboratory equipment, patient discharge and education.

Job Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Licenses and/or Certifications:

MA, CNA, CMA, LVN, NCT, EMT-B certification or diploma
Current Basic Life Support Certification required
Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire

Work Experience:

1 year of work-related experience - preferred
