American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and active ARRT and BLS certifications for a day shift opportunity in a freestanding ED and outpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Freestanding emergency department with coordinated outpatient, primary care, and ED services
- Performs basic and advanced CT scans including brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant, and vascular CTA
- Also responsible for general X-ray exams including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine, head, chest, musculoskeletal, and fluoroscopy studies
- Day shift schedule with five 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Call is required with a 30-minute response time
- All travelers may be required to float among facilities within the state
- Epic is used for EMR documentation
- Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Main duties include performing CT and general X-ray procedures for a wide range of patient ages and clinical needs
- Role requires excellent customer service skills and collaborative work with ED team members
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff from other facilities must have a 3-month separation before applying as a traveler
- Professional scrubs with no logos and in good condition are required
- All required onboarding modules must be completed before start, with self-reported completion
- Requested time off must be reported at time of application and post-submittal requests may not be accommodated
- Reliable transportation is required; pairs must have separate vehicles
- Compliance with all onboarding requirements, including background, health, and licensing, must be completed promptly to maintain offer of employment
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CT technologist experience
- Active ARRT and ARRT RT(R)(CT) certifications required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid WA license or Compact license required if applicable
- Experience with GE equipment and PACS systems required
- Proficient in performing CT and X-ray imaging for a variety of specialties, including starting peripheral IVs and administration of contrast media
- Must be able to function independently and collaboratively in an ED setting
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years are required for consideration
