Hours per week: 36

Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: Monday-Friday. 3-12 hour shifts. No holidays or weekends. Flexibility required. Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus available with 2-year commitment.

Job Description Summary: Rutledge Tower Operating Room has 9 OR suites for both adult outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures and provides service to a multitude of specialties to include ENT, Oral Surgery, Adult Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Gynecology, Urology, Pain Management, Orthopedics, Surgical Oncology, Endocrine, Colorectal, Robotics, and Minimally invasive surgeries. RT OR is open Monday -Friday until 5:00 or 7:00pm and is currently closed on weekends and major holidays. Our orientation includes training for both the circulator and scrub roles. We are a 100% bovie smoke free facility that is highly innovative and provides excellence in nursing care.

Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of two years of work experience as a registered nurse in an Operating Room or designated area of practice required. Attendance in the Charge Nurse Workshop and successful completion of the MUHA Charge Nurse Competency-Based Orientation is required within 6 months of hire. Successful completion of the RNIII requirements within the first 18 months of hire also required. OR experience preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Some positions require certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
