Facility:
This is a Level 3 pediatric facility with 5 beds in the department. The facility is a trauma level 0 hospital that maintains high standards of care and requires board certification (or at minimum board eligibility) for its physicians. The facility has a well-established pediatric department with a focus on providing comprehensive care to the community.
Opportunity: Pediatrician
This is a locum tenens position to provide coverage for a scheduled vacation period. The assignment dates include August 15-17, with potential for ongoing work starting from 8/2/2025. The facility sees approximately 2 patient encounters per shift.
Job Details:
- Provide pediatric patient care in a 5-bed department
- Average of 2 patients per shift
- Preferred skills include ventilation management for newborns
- Experience with intubation for newborns is preferred
- Ability to perform various procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred
- X-ray and EKG interpretation skills are beneficial
- Experience with suturing minor lacerations and circumcision procedures is preferred
- Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Fellowship experience (2 years) is required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days
