A healthcare network in Massachusetts is looking to add a new, licensed Pediatric Urgent Care Physician / PEM to their growing team. In this role, thePediatric Urgent Care Physician / PEMwill be responsible forevaluating and providing evidence-based treatment to pediatric urgent care patients in both in-person and telemedicine settings.
About the Opportunity:- Setting: Private Practice
- Hours: 12pm to 12am or 10am to 10pm (3 to 4 weekends shifts a month)
Responsibilities:ThePediatric Urgent Care Physician / PEM will:
- Assess and treat acute injury and illness for both in-person and telemedicine patients,includinganaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma
- Perform procedural care, including abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair with sutures, staples, and dermal adhesive
- Takeradiographs and providing preliminary interpretation of x-rays with official radiology over-reads (only in applicable states)
- Oversee in-person and telemedicine patient flow and daily functions of the office along with oversight of other providers, staff, and trainees on shift
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Massachusetts
- Board Eligible / Certified in Pediatrics
- Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care background
