Travel Nursing Job Details- Location: Chicago, IL 60612 (West Side)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center – Operating Room
- Start Date: December 9, 2025
- End Date: March 10, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (12:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2900-$3000
- Call Requirements: One 12-hour shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday (7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
- Floating: Required within 50 miles as needed
- Charting System: Cerner EMR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue (provided)
- Parking: $2/day with shuttle service
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand upon submission)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience as an OR RN
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Proficient in both scrub and circulate roles
- Experience in Orthopedic Surgery, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery required
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no COVID-19 exemptions; medical/religious exemptions for Flu only)
- Ability to float to other units and healthcare facilities within 50 miles as needed
- Local candidates accepted (within 75 miles of facility)
- Neurosurgery (craniotomy and spine procedures)
- Open Heart/Thoracic Surgery
- Ophthalmology
- ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat)
- Bariatric and Gynecology Surgery
- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center
- Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery
- Participate in call rotation (one 12-hour weekend shift per month)
- Float to other units and healthcare facilities within 50 miles as needed, supporting collaborative care
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic medical records
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
- Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
