The role requires a Michigan license, board certification, and specific emergency care certifications while supporting timely patient admission and treatment. This medical center features a Level 3 Emergency Department with 50 beds and an annual volume of approximately 40,150 patients. The facility utilizes Cerner EMR and includes a dedicated 10-bed fast track area called "VUE" within the emergency department, with comprehensive support services including 24-hour radiology, laboratory, and surgical specialties.
Opportunity:
NP/PA - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
• Work independently in the fast track "VUE" area (10 beds) within the emergency department• Shift coverage needed for various dates in January and February 2026, primarily 11:00-23:00 and 08:00-20:00 shifts• Attending physicians available 24 hours/day for case review, evaluation, guidance or questions• Handle approximately 110 patients per day (divided among providers)• Work in a team environment with emergency medicine residents (approximately two shifts daily at varied times)• No supervision requirements for resident cases• 60% of hospital admissions received from the ED with 20% of ED patients admitted to hospital• Must be Board Certified NP/PA with Michigan license• Must maintain ACLS and ATLS certifications• Must have 2 years of recent ED experience• Must have clean background for quick credentialing• Candidates must be local - no exceptions• Valid DEA required• Immunization records required (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, Covid, TB, TDAP)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
