A Restoration Technician responds to property loss emergencies by mitigating damage in residential and commercial buildings through water extraction, fire and smoke restoration, microbial remediation, and cleaning. The role involves physical work, occasional travel, customer service, and supervision of temporary labor. Training is provided, and prior experience or certifications are preferred but not required.

Brief Description:

The Restoration Technician is a first responder on property loss situations and helps mitigate damage in residential and commercial structures. Technicians are responsible for water damage mitigation, structural board-up and security, on-location cleaning, microbial remediation, content pack-outs, content processing/deodorization, content storage, and handling.

Responsibilities:

Water extraction and mitigation
Fire and smoke cleaning and restoration
Microbial remediation
Vandalism, crime scene, and biohazard clean-up
Demolition (Demo Day!)
Field management and supervision of all temporary labor personnel
Provide the highest level of customer service with empathy
All other duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day
1 year of restoration industry or maintenance experience preferred

TRAVEL:

Occasional travel. (Less than 25% of the time.) Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.

COMPENSATION:

BluSky offers a competitive base pay between $18 - $23 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package that includes: a matching 401(k) plan, health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, paid holidays, disability, equipment appropriate to the position (i.e., laptop, smartphone, etc.), and corporate apparel allowance.
