RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week on 7th floor Trauma Med/Surg unit
• Maintain patient ratio of 6:1
• Required to work 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Float assignments based on rotation with contract labor floating first
• Provide bedside shift report and compassionate care to patients and families
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Perform med/surg nursing duties including prioritizing care, multitasking, starting IVs, basic wound care, and maintaining surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Tech support available on day and night shifts with unit secretary coverage from 7AM-7PM
• Must maintain active RN license and BLS certification
• Required to wear navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
• Expected to make personal connections with patients and include them/family members in their plan of care
