Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Nursing- Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
- Setting: Perianesthesia – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Unit Size: 20 beds, daily census 30-50
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1830–$1880
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio RN license required)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Proficient in telemetry, ventilator management, and electronic charting systems
- Ability to provide 2 professional references (including 1 from a manager/director or supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in a Level 1 Trauma PACU
- Monitor and assess patient recovery from anesthesia, including vital signs and pain management
- Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered
- Manage ventilated patients and provide central line care
- Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and other complications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems
- Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for weekend coverage
