American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of interventional and diagnostic experience, RCIS certification, and active state license if applicable.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care setting within a cardiac catheterization lab
- Unit has 2 suites and averages 8 cases per day
- Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, and cardiac arrhythmias
- Procedures include interventional, diagnostic, and device cases; ablation experience is preferred but not required
- Uses EPIC EMR and Siemens equipment
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with call requirements
- Call includes 1-2 weeknight shifts and 2 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- 30-minute call response time is required
- Primary responsibilities include scrubbing for a variety of cath lab procedures including device implants and ablations if competent
- All scrubs are provided and must be worn according to department policy
- Week-long onsite orientation is required, even if online modules are completed remotely
- The position follows a 60-mile radius policy; candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility as documented by driver’s license
- Holiday call may be required based on scheduling needs
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a cardiac cath lab
- Current RCIS, ACLS (AHA), and BLS (AHA) certifications required
- Active state or compact license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
- Demonstrated experience in interventional and diagnostic procedures; ablation experience preferred
- Experience with EPIC charting and Siemens equipment preferred
- Copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration
- Two references are required: one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one supervisor or peer reference from the last 3 years, both with employment dates and eligibility for rehire
