Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with both adult and pediatric patient care and PALS, ACLS, and KY or compact RN license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients (ages 6 and up)
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:6 to 1:8
• Utilizes computerized documentation
• Includes O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care
• Responsible for managing care across adult and pediatric populations
• Must be able to activate rapid response teams and follow isolation protocols
• Peripheral line care and non-invasive airway management are part of daily duties
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon hire
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a similar setting
• Pediatric experience with patients age 6 and older required
• Experience with rapid response activation and isolation precautions/PPE
