Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Job responsibilities and required/preferred skills:
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms, including 3D mammography and stereotactic biopsies.
Conduct needle localizations and assist in special breast procedures as needed.
Build preliminary mammography reports for physician interpretation.
Maintain QA/QC procedures and ensure compliance with safety and imaging standards.
Rotate for weekend coverage (every other Saturday).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of mammography experience; first-time travelers accepted.
Current CA state license and certification in mammography (ARRT M, ARRT R, CRT-M).
BLS certification.
Completion of 40 hours initial mammography training and 25 supervised mammograms.
Completion of at least 200 mammograms in the last 24 months.
Minimum 15 CEUs in mammography within the last 36 months.
8 hours Digital and 3D mammography training.
Proficiency with PACS and Hologic equipment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Community Hospital or Breast Center settings.
Needle localization experience.
Familiarity with QA/QC weekly procedures.
Work Settings:
Inpatient and outpatient breast center environments.
Handling daily caseload of 30 patients.
Additional Requirements:
Weekend availability is required.
Must be willing to float between facilities if needed.
