We are seeking a locum tenens General Surgeon to provide vacation coverage in Miles City, Montana. This provider will deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with Intermountain standards while supporting the surgical team during this short-term assignment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform patient evaluations using history, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments.
Diagnose diseases, injuries, and other conditions; provide or prescribe appropriate treatment.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding care options, risks, and treatment plans.
Document accurately and thoroughly for continuity of care, compliance, quality, and safety.
Collaborate with the clinical team and provide leadership as needed.
Refer patients to specialty or ancillary services when appropriate.
Provide availability for in-person visits, phone consults, electronic communication, and on-call duties as outlined in facility policies.
Participate in patient care processes that enhance quality, safety, and experience.

Required Education:
MD or DO from an accredited medical or osteopathic school.
Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
Active state medical license (or ability to obtain).
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
Active DEA license.
BLS or ACLS (acute care hospital requires on hire; ambulatory clinic requires within 90 days).

Hours: 7a 7a; full-time schedule or Part time
Expected Schedule: 5 days per week (approx. 40 hours/week)
