Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient Rehab unit night shift position requiring Epic experience and a LA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient Rehab unit setting
- Patient population includes general rehab, stroke rehab, spinal cord rehab, and brain injury rehab cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
- Weekend work is required
- Floating to other units may be required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic EMR system and prior Epic experience is required
- Primary duties include providing nursing care to patients with rehabilitation needs, including those recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- Strict policy limiting requested time off around Mardi Gras (2/13 - 2/22), with minimal RTO allowed during this period
Requirements
- Active LA or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- First time travelers will not be considered
- Former permanent employees at any related facility must be separated for at least 1 year to qualify
- Must reside outside a 75 mile radius from the facility
