Executive Chef – French-Inspired Relaunch Opportunity | Savannah, GA

About the Opportunity

An established, well-regarded restaurant in the heart of Savannah is preparing for an exciting full relaunch as a French-inspired lunch and dinner destination. We’re seeking a talented Executive Chef to lead this transformation. This is a rare chance to take an existing concept and reimagine it with your culinary vision, backed by ownership and full creative freedom.

The Role

This is not a maintenance role—this is a build, create, and lead opportunity.

As Executive Chef, you will:

  • Design and execute a completely refreshed French-inspired menu for both lunch and dinner
  • Help define the culinary identity and brand direction of the restaurant
  • Bring a strong foundation in classical French techniques to elevate the menu
  • Build systems, standards, and kitchen culture from the ground up
  • Source ingredients, establish vendor relationships, and control costs
  • Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team
  • Partner with ownership on concept positioning, presentation, and guest experience

What Makes This Different

  • True creative freedom—ownership wants your vision
  • Opportunity to put your stamp on a Savannah restaurant relaunch with a French-inspired identity
  • Balanced focus on quality, profitability, and brand storytelling
  • Ability to shape everything from menu to plating to kitchen structure

Ideal Background

  • Executive Chef or strong Chef de Cuisine ready to step up
  • Must have a background in classical French techniques (sauces, butchery, fundamentals)
  • Experience in from-scratch, quality-driven kitchens
  • Comfortable with both refined casual and elevated dining
  • Strong understanding of seasonality, menu development, and cost controls
  • Leadership style that builds accountability, culture, and consistency

What We’re Looking For

  • A chef who wants ownership of their craft
  • Someone excited by building something—not just running it
  • Equal parts creative and operationally sound

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Benefits package
  • Great room for growth
