Position Overview
A leading academic medical center in Georgia is seeking a fellowship-trained Critical Care Anesthesiologist with expertise in adult cardiac intensive care. This position offers the opportunity to practice high-acuity medicine in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) and Surgical ICU (SICU) while engaging in research, teaching, and program development within a nationally recognized academic department.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care in 18-bed CVICU and 12-bed SICU
- Manage complex post-cardiac surgery patients: CABG, valve procedures, adult congenital cases, post-heart transplant
- Utilize advanced support including ECMO, VAD, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring
- Perform procedures such as central/arterial line placement, TEE (if trained), bronchoscopy, and advanced airway management
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to standardize perioperative cardiac critical care protocols
Academic & Teaching Opportunities
- Mentor anesthesiology residents, critical care fellows, and APPs
- Participate in didactics, case-based teaching, and simulation training
