Registered Nurse - Neuroscience Unit
LocationThis position is located in a healthcare facility that specializes in neuroscience care.
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Availability: Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Neuro unit, managing a variety of neurological conditions including strokes, seizures, and postoperative spinal patients. The position requires strong neuro experience and familiarity with G-tubes.
Responsibilities- Monitor and assess patient conditions and reactions to treatments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document patient progress and care in the EPIC system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend to patients’ needs
- Valid RN license
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS must be in hand at time of submission)
- ACLS certification preferred
- Recent experience in a neuroscience or neurocritical care setting
- Proficiency in EPIC and overall strong neuro experience
