Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift contract in Illinois requiring an active IL RN license and Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 36-bed Med/Surg/Ortho unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratios are typically 1:5 with a CNA, may adjust to 1:4 primary care based on staffing
• Float to ED/ICU units to care for medical holds only
• Night shifts are 12 hours from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, and well-adapted to change
• Strong social and communication skills are valued
• Navy blue scrubs required
• COVID-19 vaccine is not currently required but is subject to change
• Holiday coverage required per unit needs

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand (no pending or temporary licenses)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Confident and independent nursing skills required
• Not accepting local candidates within a 40-mile radius
