This locum tenens opportunity seeks a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide hospital-based coverage near Seattle, WA, from January to February 2025. The role involves diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures including angiography, biopsies, and embolization in a Level 3 Trauma Center, with a demanding schedule including on-call duties. Candidates must hold relevant certifications and an active Washington medical license to join a collaborative and experienced team in a high-acuity setting.
We are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide locum tenens coverage in a hospital-based setting near Seattle, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team in a dynamic environment. Position Highlights: Duration: January 1, 2025 February 28, 2025 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with on-call responsibilities during the week and 24-hour call on weekends. Volume: 811 cases per day, focusing on paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies. Facility Type: Level 3 Trauma Center with an annual emergency room volume of 55,000. Team: Collaborate with 2 on-site interventional radiologists and a larger system-wide team of 25+ professionals. Standard IR support staff included. Requirements: Board Certification in Interventional Radiology (AOBR or ABR). Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology (IR) is highly preferred. Active Washington State medical license. ACLS certification. Clean background for expedited credentialing. Skills & Procedures Needed: Diagnostic imaging: Angiography, CT, and Ultrasound. Interventional procedures: Angioplasty, stent placement, chemoembolization, embolization, aortic aneurysm endograft stent, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, and kyphoplasty. Additional Details: EMR: EPIC for hospital documentation; Philips ISite platform for teleradiology. Credentialing process: 60120 days.
