This role is for a board-certified or eligible Pediatric Hematology/Oncology physician to diagnose and treat cancers and blood disorders in newborns to young adults at a leading pediatric cancer center in Central California. The multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive, family-centered care and participates in national research initiatives to offer innovative treatments. The facility includes outpatient and inpatient units, with a focus on diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, brain tumors, hemophilia, and thalassemia.
Description: Theteam provides the expertise to diagnose and treat newborns to young adults with cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, brain tumors and blood related disorders such as hemophilia or thalassemia. As one of the leading pediatric cancer facilities on the west coast, our center serves as the only provider of pediatric oncology services between Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Our multidisciplinary team includes board-certified pediatric oncologists/hematologists, pathologists, radiologists, nurse navigators, social workers, psychologists, palliative care and child life specialists who deliver family-centered care. The HTC is the only federally-funded center in the Central Valley, recognized for providing comprehensive care for bleeding and clotting disorders. Our experts contribute to national research initiatives, ensuring our patient have access to the most innovative treatments available. TheCancer and Blood Disorders Center provides the breadth of specialized services and depth of experience to treat a range of cancer and blood disorder conditions, from the most common to the rarest conditions. The center includes an outpatient unit with treatment rooms, infusion center and play area and a fully-equipped, 36-bed inpatient unit Qualifications: Board Eligible or Certified Must have completed fellowship Ability to obtain CA medical license Ideal candidate will have 3 years practice experienced Preferred interest in Leukemia and lymphoma Compensation: Compensation based off California average salary for specialty Full benefits package
