We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This role begins on Dec 2, 2025, and features a rotating schedule with both weekday and weekend day shifts. The assignment includes primary care responsibilities with an overflow of urgent care cases, providing an excellent opportunity for skilled nurse practitioners with at least one year of urgent care experience.

• Schedule: 36 to 40 hours per week, rotating; weekdays 8am-8pm, weekends 8am-4pm; every other weekend required. Example rotation:
• Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients presenting with a variety of health concerns
• Manage overflow urgent care cases as needed
• Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe appropriate medications
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices for urgent and primary care settings

Additional Information

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina required
• Minimum 1 year of urgent care experience is mandatory
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
• Client will cover DOT certification if not already obtained; must be acquired within 60 days of start
• Assignment start is as soon as credentialed
