Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Government Facility in Laurinburg, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our core values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify the identification of individuals entering and exiting the premises as required by site protocols.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings in order to identify and address security-related issues promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
