LTAC nurses deliver high-quality, specialized care to patients with complex, long-term medical needs. As an LTAC RN, you will provide direct patient care in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment that bridges acute and rehabilitative services. Your responsibilities will include managing ventilators, wound care, medication administration, and continuous assessment of critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medically complex patients.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions, including those requiring advanced critical care interventions.
• Manage high-acuity treatments such as tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and extensive wound management.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and recovery expectations.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
• Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania (or compact state license, if applicable)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
• ICU experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:
• Prior experience in a long-term acute care or step-down unit
• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
• Knowledge of ventilator management and complex wound care
