The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in sports medicine with expertise in shoulder and knee arthroscopy and an interest in expanding services to include elbow and hip arthroscopy. This is an excellent opportunity to grow a high-demand sports medicine program within a well-established orthopedic group supported by a strong referral network.Office Hours/Work Schedule:Monday Thursday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PMFriday: 8:00 AM 11:30 AMNo evening or weekend office hoursStaffing:6 providers8 clinical staff (CMA, LPN, Ortho Techs)4 front office staff2 surgery schedulersRadiology and athletic training supportCall Schedule:Call is 1:4Case Load:25-40 patients/day in clinicOffice procedure volume varies, including joint injections, aspirations, pin removals, and cast application/removal4-8 procedures/day in the hospitalKey Responsibilities:Sports Medicine:Opportunity to lead and grow the sports medicine service linePerform advanced procedures such as:Shoulder and knee arthroscopyComplex ligament reconstruction and/or revisionMeniscal debridement and repairChondroplasty and cartilage restorationRotator cuff/labral repairsAdditional procedures such as elbow and hip arthroscopy would be welcomedTrauma:Manage community trauma cases (not a designated trauma center), including:Long bone, periarticular, pediatric, periprosthetic, and hand/foot fracturesProximal humerus and hip fracturesMost open fractures and complex pelvic/acetabular trauma are referred outJoint Replacement Surgery:Opportunity to perform primary and revision joint arthroplasty, including:Knee, hip, and shoulder replacementCollaboration with a fellowship-trained arthroplasty specialistPotential for elbow arthroplastyHand Surgery:Current services include:Carpal and cubital tunnel releaseCompression neuropathy managementSoft tissue mass excisions and thumb CMC arthroplastyOpportunity to expand into flexor tendon repair, Dupuytren's contracture management, and ligamentous wrist repairPediatrics:No inpatient pediatric casesOutpatient pediatric sports procedures desired, including:Arthroscopy of the knee and shoulderPatellofemoral realignmentChondral lesion managementFracture care and benign lesion excisionFoot & Ankle Surgery:Most procedures currently handled by in-house podiatrists, though orthopedic collaboration is welcome, especially in:Ankle arthroscopyLigament repair/reconstructionChondral lesion managementSpine:No spine surgery performed in-house. Cases referred to regional neurosurgeons, supported by on-site pain management services.Equipment & Facilities:Office:Cast saw & x-rayHospital:Computers in every room, CPMs, patient lifts, air mats for safe patient handling, Hana table, Wixon, Beach chair, peg board positioning devices in surgeryMini C-arm and standard C-arm
