Outpatient Psychiatry with Teaching Focus Upstate New York Ongoing Locums Job
Jackson and Coker is partnering with a respected health system in Upstate New York to provide ongoing locums psychiatric coverage in an outpatient setting. This opportunity is ideal for a board certified psychiatrist who enjoys teaching, as the role combines direct patient care with resident precepting across child and adult psychiatry.
Opportunity Highlights:
Outpatient setting with a strong academic component seeing patients aged 6 and above
Blend of patient care and resident education
Long-term, ongoing assignment with consistent scheduling

Schedule & Responsibilities:
Monday Friday outpatient schedule (Monday Wednesday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM and Friday: 12:00 PM 4:30 PM)
Approximately 1.5 days of direct patient care
3.5 days precepting psychiatry residents (ages 6+)
Start date: February 23
On-call coverage:
1 weekend per month
5 weekday nights per month (tied to inpatient unit)
Requirements:
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Active New York medical license
DEA required
Clean malpractice history
