We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to join our team. This full-time role will focus on supporting public health initiatives by managing and analyzing reportable disease data. The position is Hybrid with opportunities to collaborate closely with stakeholders across various health organizations and IT teams.
What You'll Do
Communicate with electronic lab report (ELR) and electronic case report (eCR) data providers, hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and health information exchanges (HIE)
Research and troubleshoot electronic data issues, testing all received submissions for accuracy
Create test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts mapped to workflows and system design requirements
Replicate, isolate, and identify root causes of system issues, providing workarounds and testing fixes in staging environments
Collaborate with business/policy staff, software developers, and vendor specialists to resolve issues
Assist users in monitoring and analyzing their data through SQL querying and reporting
Develop and execute a robust test strategy to ensure system functionality
What You'll Need
7+ years of experience writing and analyzing SQL queries to resolve issues
Strong expertise in debugging applications and troubleshooting complex systems
Proficiency in creating test scenarios, cases, and scripts aligned with workflows and system designs
Critical thinking skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy and logical problem-solving
Advanced user-level experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in public health or related medical industries
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$35p/h - $42p/hThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
