Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support therapy services in a skilled nursing environment. This role involves assisting in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care within a 130-bed facility. Candidates should be comfortable working with diverse patient needs and collaborating closely with physical therapists to implement treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic interventions as directed by a supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist with patient treatments in accordance with established care plans.
- Support mobility, strengthening, and functional training activities.
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive therapy environment.
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- AM shift
- Includes one weekend day (schedule options: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday)
Requirements:
- Active state PTA license (must be current and in good standing)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience (skilled nursing facility experience preferred)
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
