Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled cardiovascular nurse who can support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while maintaining flexibility for frequent on-call coverage and weekend scheduling.
Contract & Schedule Details- Assignment Length: 13-week contract
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts
- On-Call: Frequent on-call coverage required
- Weekends: Must be willing to work consecutive weekends as needed
- Holiday Coverage: Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures
- Monitor patient hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications and manage moderate sedation as required
- Ensure compliance with cath lab protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Respond appropriately to cardiac emergencies and complications
- Document patient care accurately and timely using the facility EMR
Licensure & Experience Requirements- Active and current Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be valid prior to start)
- Minimum of 5 years of recent Cath Lab nursing experience
- Ability to take frequent on-call assignments and work extended or consecutive shifts as needed
Required Certifications- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Additional certifications may be required per facility policy
Systems & TechnologyAdditional Notes- Holiday pay applies only if the shift begins on the holiday
- Facility is not affiliated with Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) and does not follow HHSC compliance requirements
