Seeking Qualified and Compassionate Anesthesiologists for Locum Tenens Roles

We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity for two General Anesthesiologists to join our team in a growing community near Caroleen, NC. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and will continue until we can fill the positions permanently.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures in a collaborative care team model.
- Provide pre-operative consultations, assessments, and plan anesthesia care for assigned patients.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients throughout surgery and adjust anesthesia plans as needed.
- Oversee and support the work of CRNAs within the established care team model.
- May choose to personally manage assigned surgical cases if desired.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Cerner and AIMS electronic medical record systems.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted North Carolina (NC) medical license.
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology is required.
- Experience in a hospital setting providing general anesthesia care is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
- Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and technical expertise in anesthesia administration.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Schedule:

- You will rotate this schedule with one other physician.

- You will be collaborating with an average of 2-3 CRNAs Monday through Friday.
Call Coverage:
- Historically, call coverage has required an average of 72 combined hours per month between the two locum tenens physicians.
