Job Details:
• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in examination of patients and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required
• Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required
• PALS (American Heart Association) certification required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills and ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients
