Position Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. This role provides leadership and guidance to clinical staff, manages workflow, and supports team development through coaching and mentoring. The Clinical Supervisor serves as a key resource for clinical standards, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a clinical leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop staff while maintaining a positive team culture.
- Knowledge of clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily clinical schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage for all positions.
- Manage overtime and coordinate PTO requests for clinical staff.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels for medical supplies and clinical equipment; coordinate ordering and evaluate equipment needs.
- Ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of operational issues.
Leadership & Staff Development:
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback to Medical Assistants (MAs).
- Assist with recruitment, interviews, disciplinary actions, and annual performance reviews.
- Lead MA competency training, including equipment use and clinical procedures.
- Serve as a role model and promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to clinical policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in policy development, review, and updates as needed.
- Monitor and address performance improvement opportunities within the clinic.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff, providers, and leadership to ensure effective communication.
- Lead regular team meetings and huddles; provide updates on workflow, safety, and quality initiatives.
- Address patient concerns and support resolution of complaints when necessary.
Financial & Resource Management:
- Collaborate with leadership on staffing and budget considerations.
- Track supply usage and manage cost-effective ordering practices.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support clinic operations and patient care excellence.
