CVOR RN Job Details

• Location: Mason City, Iowa (50401) – Iowa healthcare jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
• Start Date: December 21, 2025
• End Date: March 21, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Day shift, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), based on department needs
• Hours: Full-Time, 36-40 hours/week
• Call Requirement: 10-12 days/month

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year recent CVOR nursing experience
• Proven experience with open heart surgery
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Scrubbing experience a plus
• Ability to take scheduled call
• Current BLS certification

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Assist with open heart and complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR system
• Participate in call rotation as required
• Mentor and support less experienced nursing staff
