Job Details:

• 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• Multiple shift options available: 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per workweek for 8 and 10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating required - candidates will float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Patient ratios of 5-6 patients
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS (ACLS and NIHSS preferred)
• Must have Indiana state license and required certifications in hand prior to submission
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Skills include: Med/Surg, pre/post neurosurgery, total joint replacements, trauma care, IV starts, orthopedic trauma, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as orthopedic conditions, GYN, urology, neurosurgery, medical patients, total joint replacements, and various medical conditions
• Care for patients with continuous bladder irrigation, chest tubes, surgical drains, and wound care
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy
