American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Illinois RN licensure, Level 1 Trauma experience, and Epic charting skills.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department setting at a Level 1 Trauma center
- Treat diverse emergency patient populations
- Schedule includes mid-shifts from 1:00PM-1:00AM and a 2-week night shift rotation for all travelers
- On-call required with two 13-hour call shifts per 6-week schedule
- Traveler must be able to arrive onsite within one hour when on call
- Uses Epic EMR system with prior experience required
- Performs assessments, develops and implements care plans, and collaborates with providers and families
- Ensures patient and staff safety through adherence to protocols and prompt reporting of hazards
- Maintains accurate documentation and supports a collaborative team environment
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed per 13-week contract
- Returning travelers may not remain on assignment for more than one year without a six-month break in service
- No travel partners accepted for this assignment
- Compliance documents and screenings must be completed before the assignment starts
- Active IL RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
- Minimum three years of relevant emergency nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Direct Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
